The Top 10 Boxscores of the Week

Welcome to the Top 10 Boxscore of the Week, a weekly segment on the Boxscore Geeks where we break down our favorite boxscores of the week. While we do use statistical criteria to guide our choices, this list is subjective. With that said, here's our list!

Jrue Holiday 2/1 27:09 4(12.7%) 1(0) 4 2 0 2 2 -15.4

I'll be working on a more "box scory" format for my list. Take one! alright, let's give a few notes.

  • 1. Westbrook makes the list for the third fastest triple-double in NBA history. He's also #2 on that list...
  • 2. Curry makes the list being one of a handfull of players to score eleven three-pointers in an NBA game.
  • 3. Spoiler, this list is triple-double centric. Draymond Green had an efficient triple-double to go next to Curry's 51 points.
  • 4. Whiteside gets a triple-double off the bench! Bonus points for keeping all the numbers the same! 10-10-10 is a fun stat line.
  • 5. Westbrook makes the list twice with another triple-double. He's gaining on Draymond Green!
  • 6. Another triple-double on the list? John Wall keeps the trend of "real" triple doubles (efficient scoring and a good assist/turnover ratio).
  • 7. DeMarcus Cousins rounds off the sixth triple-double of the list. He's cooled a bit since the start of January, but this was still a good game.
  • 8. I promised I'd put the best Aaron Gordon game from this week on the list to Brian on our weekly podcast. I didn't know there would be six triple-doubles, but a promise is a promise!
  • 9. James Harden makes the list for his ten turnovers. He shot well, mostly thanks to the free throw line. Still, in wasn't enough in a Houston blowout.
  • 10. Jrue Holiday gets the coveted 10th spot on the list with the worst scoring performance of the week. Four points on fourteen shots is less than ideal, and it's no surprise the Pelicans lost this one.

That's our list! Did we miss someone? Are any players too high? Well don't worry, we'll be back next week with another one. If you see any boxscores you think deserve consideration, leave them in the comments or tweet at myself (@nerdnumbers), Patrick (@nbageek), or Brian (@boxscorebrian) with hashtag #BSGTop10. Seeya next time!
