The Top 10 Boxscores of the Week

Welcome to the Top 10 Boxscore of the Week, a weekly segment on the Boxscore Geeks where we break down our favorite boxscores of the week. While we do use statistical criteria to guide our choices, this list is subjective. With that said, here's our list!

10. Greenbay Packers beat Minnesota Vikings 30-13

Not a basketball box score? Heck not even really a box score. Anyway, it's my list! It's possibly the reason I was late with this week's list, but that said ... Go Pack Go!

9. Golden State Warriors beat Denver Nuggets 118-105

What's that? It's another, "not real" boxscore item. Again, my list! The Warriors tie the NBA record for wins to start a season. If anyone didn't think this team was the favorite to win the NBA title -- ahem, looking at you NBA 2K16! -- they do now!

8. Ben McLemore

  • 25 Minutes Played
  • 12 Field Goal Attempts
  • 2 Free Throw Attempts
  • 8 Points, 31.1% True Shooting
  • 3 Rebounds (1 Offensive)
  • 2 Assists
  • 3 Personal Fouls
  • 0 Steals
  • 4 Turnover
  • 0 Blocks

Shout out to Justin (@jdguy00) for this one! The Kings beat the Magic thanks to a good game out of DeMarcus Cousins. McLemore did his best to keep that from happening with horrendous shooting and four turnovers. Almost as impressive is how few minutes it took to hit this disastrous performance. Glad the Kings supply of bad players isn't running out.

7. Randy Foye - Nov. 18th

  • 16 Minutes Played
  • 5 Field Goal Attempts
  • 0 Free Throw Attempts
  • 0 Points, 0.0% True Shooting
  • 0 Rebounds (0 Offensive)
  • 1 Assists
  • 2 Personal Fouls
  • 0 Steals
  • 2 Turnover
  • 0 Blocks

When the Nuggets lost Andre Iguodala, I was sad. Why the Nuggets chose to trade his rights to get Randy Foye is beyond me. In sixteen minutes, Foye was terrible, just terrible. He did get an assist, so there is that, I guess.

6. Steph Curry - Nov. 19th

  • 37 Minutes Played
  • 22 Field Goal Attempts
  • 12 Free Throw Attempts
  • 40 Points, 73.3% True Shooting
  • 11 Rebounds (0 Offensive)
  • 4 Assists
  • 2 Personal Fouls
  • 3 Steals
  • 7 Turnovers
  • 0 Blocks

Steph Curry's MVP season adds a milestone. He's the first player to score thirty points and make at least five three-pointers in four consecutive games! And he did it in a game where he got a double-double to boot!

5. Anthony Davis - Nov. 22nd

  • 39 Minutes Played
  • 22 Field Goal Attempts
  • 11 Free Throw Attempts
  • 32 Points, 59.6% True Shooting
  • 19 Rebounds (6 Offensive)
  • 1 Assists
  • 4 Personal Fouls
  • 2 Steals
  • 3 Turnover
  • 4 Blocks

Come on Anthony Davis, was a 30-20 too much to ask for? Regardless, another MVP Anthony Davis performance. Hopefully, he's back to having these more regularly.

4. Kristaps Porzingis - Nov 21st

  • 36 Minutes Played
  • 12 Field Goal Attempts
  • 6 Free Throw Attempts
  • 24 Points, 82.0% True Shooting
  • 14 Rebounds (5 Offensive)
  • 2 Assists
  • 1 Personal Fouls
  • 0 Steals
  • 3 Turnover
  • 7 Blocks

Imagine if the Knicks didn't waste their cap space on overrated scorers every few seasons and just went with their young talent? Porzingis has been inconsistent, as most rookies are, but he appears to have all the makings of a potential star. Also, Kristaps can thank @damienredican for getitng him boosted on this list, I was having a hard time deciding between him and Anthony Davis in this spot.

3. Marc Gasol - Nov. 20th

  • 37 Minutes Played
  • 14 Field Goal Attempts
  • 2 Free Throw Attempts
  • 16 Points, 53.8% True Shooting
  • 11 Rebounds (3 Offensive)
  • 11 Assists
  • 2 Personal Fouls
  • 4 Steals
  • 2 Turnover
  • 0 Blocks

Marc Gasol is another guy I've been a bit down on this year. He's a bit older but apparently he can learn new tricks. He picked up his first career triple-double. He's always been a great passer, so that's a bit surprising. Regardless, good job Marc!

2. Brandon Knight - Nov. 16th

  • 41 Minutes Played
  • 23 Field Goal Attempts
  • 7 Free Throw Attempts
  • 30 Points, 57.5% True Shooting
  • 10 Rebounds (3 Offensive)
  • 15 Assists
  • 3 Personal Fouls
  • 4 Steals
  • 2 Turnover
  • 0 Blocks

I may have been bashed Brandon Knight a few times on this list this year...He showed me with a pretty absurd triple-double this week.

1. Hassan Whiteside - Nov. 17th

  • 34 Minutes Played
  • 14 Field Goal Attempts
  • 9 Free Throw Attempts
  • 22 Points, 61.2% True Shooting
  • 14 Rebounds (4 Offensive)
  • 0 Assists
  • 2 Personal Fouls
  • 0 Steals
  • 4 Turnover
  • 10 Blocks

An amazing triple double tops the list. Hassan Whiteside is just an incredible center and is just tearing up the boards. We can only wonder what if he was playing next to LeBron, right?

That's our list! Did we miss someone? Are any players too high? Well don't worry, we'll be back next week with another one. If you see any boxscores you think deserve consideration, leave them in the comments or tweet at myself (@nerdnumbers), Patrick (@nbageek), or Brian (@boxscorebrian) with hashtag #BSGTop10.
