The Top 10 Boxscores of the Week

Welcome to the Top 10 Boxscore of the Week, a weekly segment on the Boxscore Geeks where we break down our favorite boxscores of the week. While we do use statistical criteria to guide our choices, this list is subjective. With that said, here's our list! These are from games from 2/29/16 through 3/7/16.

Michael Beasley 3/5 4 2(20%) 0(0) 1 0 0 0 1 -50.5

You may notice eleven box scores. I consider Steph Curry and Klay Thompson one unit for their performance against the Lakers. That being said, some notes!

1. Curry is key in a record-setting game. It's the most consecutive home wins in NBA history. Also, Curry hit three hundred threes in an NBA season, a first! Two weeks in a row, Curry makes the top of the list by breaking a three-point record. Curry is only twenty-five three-point attempts for most in a season. So, he may return next week.

2. Our first "duel" of the week, the twenty rebound contest. DeAndre decided to rub it into the Mavericks by putting up the best game of the week. Another day at the office from the best big in the NBA.

3. Dallas is apparently where rebounding bigs go to pick up twenty boards. Faried actually required OT to get his, but given that he did it in only thirty-six minutes, I'll allow it.

4. Our last twenty rebound game of the week. Gortat put up a great game but couldn't hit the twenty point threshold. Of course, he racked up five assists, so it's still good.

5. Westbrook and Giannis decided to have a triple-double duel. Are they going to keep up matching triple-doubles on days they both play? We'll see. In round one Westbrook wins the "triple-double off." That's in spite of seven turnovers too!

6. Shooting wise Giannis only barely passes my triple-double threshold. Still, tack on four steals and two blocks and Giannis did what he's been starting to do, everything!

7. Round two of the "triple-double off" goes to Giannis. Marginally improved shooting but his blocks and steals were the icing on the cake.

8. A "disappointing" triple-double out of Westbrook. This was actually a below-average performance out of Westbrook. Still, efficient shooting and high rebounding out of a point guard is impressive, so he makes the list, barely.

9. Curry and Klay combined for one for eighteen from three! This resulted in the most surprising regular season upset in NBA history. Wow.

10. Oh Michael Beasley, you're the best! It didn't even take him five minutes of play to give the doubters to this signing all the ammo they needed. It's cool Rockets, it's not like you're in a tight playoff race.

That's our list! Did we miss someone? Are any players too high? Well don't worry, we'll be back next week with another one. If you see any box scores you think deserve consideration, leave them in the comments or tweet at myself (@nerdnumbers), Patrick (@nbageek), or Brian (@boxscorebrian) with hashtag #BSGTop10. Seeya next time!
