A twitter conversation between @Rkalland and @talkhoops sparked my interest today, and it seems like a good follow-up topic to yesterday's post on how taking a bad shot has negative value:

At first I laugh. And then I wonder...how often has this been done?

Turns out quite a bit. If we filter for at least 500 minutes played, 285 players have done this since the 2000-01 season. If we up the filter to 1000, it goes down to 111 players since then. Here, in all it's glory, is that latter list, sorted by futility (i.e. the gap between shots and points):

The esteemed Earl Watson and noted 'sharpshooter' Eddie House make the list three times. So does Eddie Griffin (it would have been 4 without the filter) and Michael Doleac, although that last one isn;t that surprising.
